Dr. Tamara Huff is a Project Coordinator of the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC) which promotes meaningful family engagement at all levels of education and provides information and resources to help parents, educators and other organizations promote the educational success of every Kansas child. Tamara provides professional development and technical assistance across the entire State of Kansas. Prior to joining the KPIRC family, she served for 10 years as the Family and Community Network Specialist for the Wichita Public Schools, the largest school district in Kansas. After completing her bachelor's at KU and her master's at K-State, Tammy earned a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Wichita State University with a research focus centered on equitable family engagement in schools. Tammy’s passion for diversity and equity strengthens her desire for inclusive engagement of all families in the educational process. Dr. Huff is a member of the Kansas School Mental Health Advisory Council, the University of Kansas Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council, and she is a director on the National Board for the KU Alumni Association. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, a public service sorority.
