Ben Proctor is Deputy Commissioner of the Kansas State Department of Education Division of Learning Services. Dr. Proctor was born and raised in Oklahoma. He began his career in the education field in 2001. Before joining KSDE he served in many education roles including as a high school teacher, Middle and High school principal, and Superintendent in Kansas school districts. Ben received his bachelor’s degree in history from McPherson College and a master's in school leadership from Baker University. He earned his doctorate in educational leadership from Wichita State University. Ben and his wife are raising three children.
